Satna Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Satna. BJP has once again fielded Ganesh Singh, the sitting MP of Satna Lok Sabha constituency. Ganesh has been declared the Lok Sabha candidate from Satna seat for the 5th time.

Lost The Assembly Elections

Earlier, in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections held in 2023, BJP had made Ganesh Singh the candidate from Satna assembly constituency, but Singh lost to Congress candidate Siddharth Kushwaha by a margin of 4400 votes.

BJP has approved the name of Ganesh Singh for Satna in the list of candidates for 195 Lok Sabha seats announced on Saturday. Singh has been elected as MP continuously since 2004 by winning from Satna seat. This is the fifth time that he is being fielded from Satna.

Ganesh Singh, 61, who has a post-graduate degree, is also a law graduate. He was the General Secretary and Student Union President of the Law College. Became District Panchayat member in 1994 and President of Satna District Panchayat in 1999. In the year 2004, he was elected MP for the first time on BJP ticket. Since then he is a Member of Parliament from Satna Lok Sabha seat.

Contested assembly elections from Satna seat in 2023 but lost by 4400 votes. He has been the Chairman of the OBC Standing Committee of the Center and a member of many Central Committees. Singh was the state minister in the BJP state organization and a member of the Assembly Election Management Committee.

He has been a four-time MP from Satna Lok Sabha seat. A big face of the OBC class has been the chairman of the OBC Standing Committee. All the seven assembly constituencies have a large number of supporters and their own team of workers. He also has a good hold on homogeneous votes. Now BJP has declared him as the candidate for Lok Sabha elections for the 5th time.
