Australia’s Defence Minister Richard Marles has confirmed that all Australian troops stationed in the United Arab Emirates are safe following a reported Iranian strike near Al Minhad Air Base during the early phase of the escalating Israel US Iran war.
Marles stated that the attack occurred on the first night of the conflict and that all personnel have been accounted for. Around 100 Australian soldiers are currently deployed in the Middle East, with the majority based in the UAE.
