Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel’s ongoing military campaign is aimed not only at defending the country but also at safeguarding global security amid the escalating Israel US Iran war.
Describing Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities as a threat to the entire world, Netanyahu stated during a visit to Beit Shemesh that the operation—referred to as “Roaring Lion”—was launched in coordination with US President Donald Trump.
He said the objective of the operation is to neutralize existential threats to Israel and broader dangers posed to the United States and the international community by Iran’s advancing nuclear weapons ambitions.
Netanyahu warned that if Iran acquires intercontinental ballistic missiles alongside nuclear weapons, it would pose a danger to humanity at large. “By defending ourselves, we are also defending others,” he said, reinforcing Israel’s stance amid the deepening Middle East conflict escalation.
