Isreal Iran Conflict: Protests Erupt in Jammu & Kashmir Over Death of Iran’s Supreme Leader
Protests were reported for the second consecutive day in parts of Jammu and Kashmir following news of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei amid the ongoing Israel US Iran war.
In Srinagar’s Bemina area, security forces carried out baton charges and used tear gas to disperse demonstrators. Several individuals were reportedly taken into custody as authorities attempted to control the situation.
Shops and markets remained closed in districts including Shopian, Baramulla, and Bandipora, reflecting heightened local tensions linked to the broader Middle East conflict escalation.
