Trump-Putin Meet: Russia Continues Attacks on Ukraine Ahead of Peace Talks in Alaska

A Russian missile strike on the outskirts of Dnipro, a city in central Ukraine, has killed a civilian, according to local officials. The attack occurred just hours before diplomatic talks are set to begin in Alaska, where the US and Russia will discuss a potential ceasefire.

The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, confirmed that the daytime attack also left one person injured and caused damage to a truck and a minibus.

In a separate incident, another strike today hit "civilian infrastructure" in the Sumy region, which borders Russia, as reported by Oleh Hryhorov, the head of Sumy's regional military administration.

Furthermore, in the eastern Donetsk region, two Ukrainian police officers were killed in Sviatohirsk after their vehicle was struck by Russian fire, according to a police statement. These attacks come as leaders meet to discuss potential de-escalation, highlighting the ongoing conflict's intensity.
