Isreal Iran Conflict: Palestinian Islamic Jihad Says Senior Commander Killed in Lebanon Strikes

Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) has announced that a senior commander of its armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, was killed in overnight strikes targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut amid the escalating Israel US Iran war.

The group identified the commander as Adham al-Othman, 41, describing him as the “commander of al-Quds Brigades in the Lebanese arena.” The announcement follows intense Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon linked to rising cross-border hostilities.

The Israeli military stated that it struck more than 70 targets associated with Hezbollah, saying the operations began after rockets were fired toward northern Israel overnight.

The developments signal a deepening regional military escalation, with Lebanon increasingly drawn into the broader Middle East conflict involving Israel, Iran, and allied armed groups.
